2008 HDSA Person of the Year
At the last national HDSA Convention in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Bob
Leck, board member of the Illinois Chapter of HDSA, was selected the 2008 HDSA Person of the Year, for his strength, fortitude
and courage in the face of this devastating disease. Barbara Boyle, in her remarks to the convention when presenting
the award, stated, "You have long been a strong voice in our National Youth Alliance." Going on, she said, "Those who
meet you recognize your determinations, drive and will to live in spite of HD. You are a role model for so many of our
HD family members."
